People always ask me,
‘What’s behind the name ITO SAXON MATE?’ or ‘Where did the name come from?’
The name ITO SAXON MATE is more than just a brand. It’s a tribute to a deep friendship spanning nearly 30 years and a token of gratitude for a life-changing encounter.
It all started in New Zealand when I was in my twenties. I was hitchhiking, and a man named Ramon Saxon picked me up. Since that day, we’ve grown closer than family—supporting each other, sharing our dreams, and building a bond of absolute trust.
In those younger days, my English was a far cry from what it is now, and I often felt the sting of being a stranger in a foreign land. I’ll never forget the time I spent two months working hard to save up for a final farewell trip across the country—only to have my employer try to cheat me out of my wages.
That was when Ramon stepped in and saved me. When I was at my lowest, he taught me a lesson I’ll never forget:
“There aren’t just bad people in this world. No matter where you go, there will always be wonderful people ready to reach out and lend a hand.”
The integrity and kindness he showed me back then continue to shape the way I live and work to this day.
Back in the day, we dreamed of starting a travel-related business together. While that specific dream didn’t come true at the time, I never let go of that spark. I’ve been steadily and quietly preparing ever since, determined to bring the essence of that small dream to life.
Ramon has celebrated every step of this new challenge with me, and in the toughest moments, he has always been my rock.
By weaving the family name SAXON—belonging to Ramon, his partner, his parents, and his children—into the heart of my office name, I pay tribute to them all. It is a symbol of my resolve to walk this new path, growing alongside my clients by blending the international perspective I learned from the Saxons with my own professional experience.
Behind the name ITO SAXON MATE lies a deep-rooted friendship, unwavering trust, and a burning passion for the future.

To be honest, I had decided long ago that no matter what kind of small business I started, the name “SAXON” would be a part of it.
Whether I was opening a travel agency, a sports club, or—believe it or not—a traditional Japanese sweets shop, I would have used the name ITO SAXON MATE. That is how much my “roots” mean to me; they remain unchanged, no matter the path I take.
With this history in mind, I began my journey by naming my predecessor business the ITO SAXON MATE Labor and Social Security Attorney Office.
By carrying forward both that name and the passion behind it, I am now taking on a new challenge: ITO SAXON MATE. This venture is dedicated to providing specialized support for drivers from diverse backgrounds—individuals who carry immense potential and are ready to drive the future forward.
When I tell the story behind the name, people sometimes ask me,
“Are you sure you’re not mixing business with pleasure,eh?”
My answer is a resounding:
YE〜〜S.
To me, “work” means being a “MATE” to someone in need—just as Ramon was for me—and solving challenges together. This way of working, built on a foundation of friendship and trust, is exactly what ITO SAXON MATE stands for.
